"We're usually up late too." Davy imagined that was true for most bands. The playing schedule required it since you played later in the evening.
"Do you want to get ready to go?" What else could he say? Davy got up to get on his boots and prepare himself for the harassment that was sure to come when his band saw him drop off the singer.
Sven managed a small smile but he just wanted to get back to his apartment to think. There wasn't much more to talk about as Sven nodded, getting up and sighing. Fuck it. Why did he have to ruin everything with his ego and mouth? Ivar often told him he did without thinking first.
"Sam." Davy snorted a laugh while pulling on his boots and texting Joey to say he was on his way.
Davy got his boots on and grabbed his keys. Walking past he gave the end of Sven's hair a tug. "Come on. You take longer than me to get together."
he wanted the friendliness back after the blow up. He could see the disappointment and what not on the Swede's face and wanted him to know things weren't that ruined. They were just making boundaries.
Sven pulled on his own boots and wondered what Sam was like because he'd not met the drummer yet. Perhaps Ivar had met him because he was with Syn and the others back at the bar last night. The hair tug pulled the Swede out of his thoughts as he slowly smiled at the younger man.
"Yeah---I am right now."
The emotions were still swirling around in Sven's gut as he knew he hadn't totally blown everything tonight. Davy hadn't thrown him out of his house so there was that. The boy just needed time.
Davy's emotions were a mess too but he was waiting for Sven at the front door so he could lock up once they were both out.
"You take a long time in the shower too." Davy teased a bit because he didn't want to see the singer so down and felt bad because he blamed himself for it. If he was just like everyone else and could sleep around then things would be so much easier on everyone. Davy couldn't bear it though.
"I get told by my band mates for taking a long time in the shower."
Sven just winked at Davy and felt a little better talking more freely and openly now that some of the air had cleared. The ache was still there but it was fading the more he spoke with Davy and the more he became closer as a friend. Walking to the front door, Sven was ready to head out back to the apartments.
"Everyone is probably still in bed when we get there."
Davy laughed. "Yeah, noon is early, especially for Sam and Syn."
Joey had a job and often had to drag himself out of bed but the others would sleep all day if left to their own devices.
"Do you usually sleep until the middle of the day?" Davy asked as they walked toward the car. He was usually up relatively early most of the time unless they were out until very early in the morning.
"The same could be said for my little brother and his band friends. Ivar is usually awake early concocting some of his booze."
Sven knew his band mates like the back of his hand as they were practically family now. Hjalmar spent his time with Torden or sleeping drunk passed out with Ansgar somewhere. Fredrik, well, he spent nearly all of his time with Mikkel. That Sigurd must have to deal with all kinds of shit from them. It made Sven smirk.
"I can do. Depends on how late I stay up drinking or if the performance is tiring."
The Swede shrugged since he didn't see a problem with waking up whenever he wanted.
The mention of Ivar got a scowl from Davy. If he found out that drummer had dragged Syn drunk and into bed he was ready to march right into the apartments and give him a slap in the face and worse.
"I am usually up before noon." Davy shrugged. "It's habit."
Sven knew he shouldn't talk too much about Ivar and his booze when it came to his interest in Syn so kept quiet about it. The singer knew Ivar was only brewing his concoctions for tour members and not to get Syn drunk on it for malicious reasons.
"Then, you're more disciplined than most. There are a few early risers who like to get up and do things. Some that don't drink get up early."
Tom, Robert, Zack, Hans. Sven could think of a few. Then, there was those who hardly slept at all. Aarne, Ziggy, Damien---who else? Vars? There were the night owls.
"I do too. My modelling career is still ongoing and sometimes I have to get up early for photoshoots and stuff like that."
Sven took that into account and didn't drink so much the night before if he knew he was going to a shoot. Nodding, he understood where Davy was coming from and had that responsibility.
"I probably drink too much but then most do."
The singer didn't see anything wrong with it unless it started getting out of hand, ruling your life. Hjalmar and Ansgar coming to mind.
"I didn't mean other career stuff." Davy mentioned with a sigh. He was basically taking care of a family and made the band dad comment kick around in his head.
"Joey does. I'm always picking his ass up off the floor if he's at the bar too long." He worried about Joey sometimes but at least the boy would walk away from booze when he was told.
"I get you, sweets. My baby brother still needs me as his older brother because we don't have any parents anymore."
The Swede didn't want to get into that so focused on being with Davy for as long as possible. As for Joey---wasn't that James looking at him from across the bar last night? Mick's uncle.
"Hjalmar. He's a drunk and always falling down on the floor somewhere. At least now he has Torden to help him."
"I only have one parent." Davy mentioned though they were both alive but his father he tossed out of the picture. He didn't want to see the man and more or less pretended he was dead most of the time.
"Joey is just wild right now. He moved out from his parent's house six months ago." Davy knew Joey would calm down once the newness of the freedom wore off.
"We lost ours to a ski accident around 11 years ago now. Ulrik took it pretty bad and still has nightmares over it."
Sven often peeking into his brother's room to comfort him when he was thrashing around in his bed coated in a cold sweat. Not so much now that he was older but when he was a teenage boy it was bad.
"A lot of the tour is wild. Wait until you meet Joe and Aarne."
Those two were like a rocket of confetti and glitter.
"My dad just walked out." Davy shrugged. "He might as well have died on a mountain."
Davy was serious. He sometimes wished bad things on his father, though less so now that he was an adult.
"Musicians are in general." Davy pulled up in front of the apartment building and prepared for the harassment if his bassist saw Sven getting out of the car.
"Don't chip your nails." Davy had to harass him just a little before he got out.
Sven gently touched Davy's arm before letting go, more to offer friendship and support than anything. Being walked out on must be the worst thing to happen to anyone. The Swede then giggled a little at the prissy guitarist's comment about his nails. Such a cute tart!
"Oh, I won't, cutie. Not after you painted them all pink and sparkly. Next time I go on stage they'll still be as perfect as they are now."
"Of course not, sweet cakes. You're such a prissy cutie."
Sven looked out of the car window when it stopped and then noticed the rest of City Charms in the lobby. So they were all there and about to see Sven sat inside the SUV alongside Davy. What would they say?
Davy wouldn't admit it but he's a little down knowing Sven would be getting out of the car.
"Band taxi." Davy rolled his eyes and already saw Joey staring at Sven. "I thought you were going inside?"
Maybe Sven was going to drive around with him but he wasn't sure he wanted him to stay either. The three were piling out of the front door, loud and obviously happy.
"We've got our own sex mobile which is Ziggy's limo driven by Robert. It's also band taxi for us."
Sven felt a little empty in his stomach at getting out of the car, pushing the door open and then stepping out with one foot. He then closed the door back up after a moment and quickly pulled Davy in for a hug before letting go and getting out properly.
"Thanks for the nails, sweets. I really enjoyed our time together today. Next time then?"
The Swede offered a blown kiss to the guitarist before walking towards the lobby.
"I was told you had a tour bus." Davy wished they did but usually they just all crammed into this SUV to go to other places to play.
Davy froze when he was pulled into the hug but after a second he does rest his hand on Sven's shoulder and smiled. A friendly hug wasn't so bad. "Next time" sent a whirl of emotions through Davy.
Joey glanced at Sven with a raised eye brow. He thought maybe Sven got a bit of action the night before since he hugged and blew a kiss at the guitarist. Davy glanced out the window at Sven walking away. He both loved and hated that sight. Mostly he's glad for the few seconds he has before his band would be in the car.
Sven was just giggling louder now because it was so trashy. Poor Tom and Robert trying to herd the growing tour like cats. The Swede noticing how Joey was staring at him, trying to figure out what might have gone on between the two. Sven really wanted there to be a next time because he really liked Davy.
"Hello, boys. Enjoy."
Giving Joey a wink, Sven carried on inside the apartment complex.
Joey turned and stared at Sven before Syn grabbed on to him looking too and started to giggle. Davy was ready because as soon as Joey got into the passenger seat he was asking if he got humped last night. Davy gave him a slap, though more playful than the one Sven had got the night before.
He would have to endure the teasing and decided to drop Joey off at home first. It would give him the most time to get ready for work and get the majority of the harassment out of the car. Sam and Syn both were going to Syn's house to spend some time with the singer's parents. Once that was done, Davy made his way out to she his mother.
That took up most of his day and by 11 pm he was picking up Joey from his house and heading back to the apartments. Joey apparently got laid by someone and was hyperactive over getting more. Davy simply rolled his eyes and slowly followed Joey into the apartment building. Davy hadn't been here yet and had no idea where he was goiing.
Sven + Davy cont.

He wasn't the only one. Joey had a job and until very recently Syn was still in school.
