Sven just stared at Davy not denying anything because he really did like the boy and it showed. There wasn't anything wrong in being forthcoming with what you wanted, was there? The little princess had to know.
"I'd love to be your boyfriend and I think you know this too yet first of all being friends is the first step, yes? Getting to know each other. Little things like habits, body language. Fuck it---I really like you."
The Swede was a little exasperated but he was trying to be patient with Davy.
"I wasn't wearing it for you." The tart came back strong but it's defensive. He can feel Sven trying to get close and his own emotions starting to heat up. He doesn't like it or trust it.
"I don't trust you." It came out with force. "I don't want to know you." That was a half truth. An old fear came bubbling up and Davy blinked back hard since he didn't want to just cry in front of the Swede. His father just walking out on his sick mother because she was too much trouble to deal with left an injury that Davy wasn't past. At the same time his cheeks were a little pink from the flattery. He felt like a mess and just sat down heavily on the couch with his bin of polish and supplies. He pushed it all away the best he could.
"You don't have to hide your feelings around me, Davy. I get you barely know me and trusting a stranger right off the bat is foolish. I know this and understand. I just wanted to let you know that I really like you is all."
Sven was old enough to understand half of what was going on with the boy. He had a shitty father and had things dumped onto him in regards to looking after his mother. This is what the Swede saw anyway. Maybe giving the boy some space to paint his nails might help.
"I'm going for some fresh air."
Getting up, Sven walked towards the next room to open a window and get some air. The part don't want to know you kind of hurt, even though Sven knew it was Davy's defensive mechanism more than anything.
"You don't knpw." Davy was full of emotion and his age was showing. He was mature because he had to be but sometimes things showed he wasn't as adult as he seemed.
Davy watched Sven walk away and felt a lump in his throat. Those tears were threatening again and he just buried his face in his hands. He was ruining things before they got to start again.
Sven just took some air in from the window to get his head together before going back to Davy. He didn't want to leave, wouldn't leave. Not now. The boy needed him.
"Davy?"
The Swede saw that the guitarist had his head buried in his hands. Poor guy. Frowning, Sven touched his shoulder and squeezed. He didn't need to shoulder the burden on his own. It shouldn't be this much for one boy to deal with.
Davy was trying to sort out his thoughts and especially his feelings. He had managed not to cry but that meant bottling up what he was feeling. The touch caused him to jump a little then look up.
He's almost expecting his father to be there even if he knows he wouldn't be, that was a good thing. He's trying to hide how vulnerable he's feeling and put on a brave face, a bitchy one at that. Sven might see through it but it's Davy's natural behavior.
"You can't help." Those words weren't just thrown out either. This was the past. Davy knew it was and nothing could help that. It had already happened.
Sven didn't need to say anything right now as he pulled in Davy for a hug. He didn't care if the boy bitched at him or slapped him even---he just had to do this. Davy needed love right now and a shoulder to lean and cry on if need be. Fuck, it was rough for the kid. So young and having the whole fucking world dumped onto his shoulders.
"It's ok, sweetie. Cry if you need to cry. We all do it."
The Swede knowing he held his brother in his arms many times after their parents died. Ulrik just a young boy at ten years old.
Davy didn't say anything or hold Sven in return. He just laid there against Sven's chest like a broken puppet. It was too much pressure and too many emotions in conflict but this felt good.
After a few minutes Davy let out a deep breath as he felt a little calm come back. He did want this to feel as good as this did but he needed it. He needed to just not be the one taking care if everything around him fir a few moments.
Sven held Davy close, just being there for him, stroking his hair gently, wanting to comfort the boy. The Swede would hold the guitarist for as long as need be just to make sure he was ok. No words were needed right now because Davy was going through turmoil and the singer could tell.
After awhile Davy's breath started to calm down and he scooted closer to get comfortable. As he calmed down he started to feel exhausted and drifting close to sleeping against the Swede. As his mind started to shut off from falling asleep he wrapped his arm around Sven to hold on. He's not exactly aware of it. Half asleep it feels right.
Sven stroked Davy's back gently, just letting the boy relax and feel comfortable. The arm wrapping around his body felt good and Sven couldn't help but smile. It felt nice. After all the deflection and rejection---this felt really good.
"It's alright. Du är trygg med mig."
The Swede using some of his own language to sooth the poor boy.
Davy might have fallen completely asleep but his phone buzzed on the table and brought him to. The guitarist sat up and stared at Sven for a moment. He felt foolish and didn't want to admit it felt good. Instead he picked up his phone.
"Do you need a ride back?" Davy was typing a message to someone. "I have to go to where you're staying to pick up Joey for work in a few hours."
Davy was having a hard time looking at Sven now because he wanted to curl back up with him but he couldn't let himself. He didn't trust it.
Sven sat and rested with Davy until he woke up. The phone now buzzing on the table in front of them both meaning someone was trying to contact the guitarist. The Swede didn't want to get up because having the boy close to him like this felt so good.
"I don't want to get up from here because you feel nice."
Sighing, Sven knew he'd have to get up.
"I don't mind, sweetie. If you need to do things with your band then I won't get in your way. We can go back to the apartment complex if you want."
Davy looked away when Sven said it felt nice. It did feel good to lay against the singer but he didn't want to think about it right now.
"I don't have to for a few hours." Davy glanced up at the clock in the room and then wanted to face palm when he realized Sven would be getting out of his car at the same time Joey, and probably the others, were getting in. The teasing would know no end.
"Do you still want your nails done?" Davy finally looked up and gave the Swede a tarty smirk. "I know you just want it so I have to hold your hands."
The tardiness was slowly turning from angry to teasing and snotty. Davy was slowly accepting Sven's presence but it would still take a lot more time.
Sven was happy Davy was slowly beginning to trust him little by little as they spent more time with one another. This was at least a start. He winked at the boy and then wiggled his chipped nails whilst giggling a little. The last time anyone had done his nails was Ivar and that was at least a week ago.
Davy looked at his nails and scowled. "You boys don't know how to take care of them."
He let out a sigh and took Sven's hand to give it a disappointed look. "Wait a minute."
He grumbled as he got up and went back in his room. He reappeared with some lotions and other things. "Your skin is shitty. I'm glad you kept these rough and paws off my legs."
He's flat out harassing the singer now even if it sounds bitchy and vaguely insulting.
"I've been neglecting them lately. That's my fault."
Sven had been busy performing and other things so he hadn't taken care of his nails and skin like he should. When he was a model there wasn't a day gone by when he'd forgo looking after his appearance because his job relied on it.
"You're telling me off? So cute."
The Swede found Davy to be such a cute tarty boy and he didn't mind that the guitarist wanted to look after him. It was very touching.
Davy handed over the polish remover and some towels. "Take the polish off."
Davy shook his head. "I'm telling you I don't want dirty, right hands on my legs. They're to soft for it." He broke into a grin and knew he was being a tease but he's testing the water, slowly. He is lonely even if he refuses to admit it.
"Ok, sweets. Oh, so you think your prissy legs are too good for my hands?"
Sven raised a playful brow and stuck his tongue out at the guitarist. He was so adorable when he was being a prissy tart. The teasing was causing a warm feeling to rise inside Sven and he realised he liked it. Was this his type now? Younger, tarty, prissy and slightly bitchy? It would seem so.
"Don't you think they deserve the best?" He was being snotty but turned to start working on getting the old polish off Sven's nails.davy had naturally long nails that made playing harder but he didn't care.
"Don't think you get to touch my legs just because I'm taking care of this mess." Davy stuck his tongue right back out at Sven like they were bratty children.
Sven held still so that Davy could set to work removing the old polish from his chipped nails. They were in a fucking state and the singer had received comments from Ivar about how worn they were.
"They do deserve the best because they belong to a cute, prissy boy."
Giggling at Davy sticking his tongue out, Sven liked seeing this playful side in the boy.
"Ivar is my roomate and he tells me off for not picking up my clothes sometimes. That and the state of my nails."
"You don't think I get it in the neck from my band mates? Don't worry, sweets, I won't make mess here."
Sven tried not to make the place a wreck back at the apartment but sometimes he was either too tired or just lazy. Ivar was chill but sometimes he got pissed off and threw underwear at Sven. He could see Davy was the prissy type like some of the tour members. Lars and Ragnar came to mind along with Gilly and maybe some others.
Davy started to laugh while he worked. He got the polish off and then wiped down Sven's hands. He felt vaguely nervous all the sudden as he got the hand cream. It was so strange but he pushed the feelings aside and started rubbing the lotion into Sven's hand and up on the wrist.
"You're right, they're not. You're a special kind of prissy cutie."
The laugh made Sven feel warm all over because it made a change to hear Davy laughing and happy instead of upset and withdrawn. Sven watched the guitarist carefully as he got his hands cleaned with cream. The lotion was cool against his skin which caused the singer to gasp a little.
